Midweek Prayer

The Aim: Midweek Prayer provides space for our church family to gather and intercede for the life of our church, our local community, and the wider world. These regular gatherings create rhythm and consistency in our shared prayer life and help us stay rooted in God’s presence and purpose.

More Information

  • We host three prayer meetings each week:

    • Tuesday (online): 7.30am–8pm

    • Wednesday (on-site in the foyer): 7.30am–8.30am

    • Thursday (online): 10am–10.45am

Leaders serve on a rota and take turns preparing and guiding a session every few weeks, depending on what fits your availability and preference.

  • If you’re faithful in your relationship with God and have a heart for prayer, this could be a great place for you to serve. You don’t need years of experience leading prayer — just a willingness to serve, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and a heart aligned with the vision of EBC.

We’re looking for calm, encouraging people who love to see God move through prayer.

  • As a prayer leader, you’ll prepare and lead one of the weekly sessions. You’ll choose a focus for the time — this might be a Bible passage, a theme like mission or healing, or current needs in the church or world. You’ll open the session, gently guide the flow, and create space for others to join in prayer. We’ll provide resources, ideas, and plenty of support as you step into this role.
