Sunday Prayer

The Aim: The Sunday Prayer team offers personal prayer ministry at the end of our Sunday services. Whether responding to a theme from the service or offering support for individual needs, this team helps create space for people to encounter God, receive encouragement, and experience His presence in a personal way.

More Information

  • You’ll serve straight after the 10am Sunday service, standing near the prayer banner at the side of the stage and wearing a lanyard so people know you’re available.

Most team members serve on our rota about once a month, but there’s flexibility depending on your schedule.

  • We’re looking for people who are prayerful, approachable, and compassionate — someone who can help create a safe, welcoming space for others to receive prayer. You don’t need to have all the answers or be a theological expert; just a heart that listens well, prays faithfully, and follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. If you’ve had some experience with prayer ministry before, that’s great — but we’ll also support and guide you as you grow in this role.

  • Once the service ends, you’ll simply make yourself available by our prayer banner for around 15 minutes to pray with anyone who comes forward. Sometimes you’ll be praying in response to the message; other times, you’ll support someone through a personal situation. Your role is to be present, listen attentively, and help people meet with God in the moment with love and care.
