Communion

The Aim: Serving on the Communion Team is a quiet but meaningful way to support our church family in one of the most significant parts of our worship. The team helps create a reverent, seamless experience by preparing and distributing the bread and cup with care, honouring Jesus’ command to “do this in remembrance of me.”

More Information

  • Communion takes place once a month during our Sunday morning service in the auditorium. Depending on your role, you’ll either arrive a little earlier to help prepare the elements in the kitchen, or, if you’re part of the team distributing them, you can arrive at the usual time.

You’ll be on a rota, with reminders sent via ChurchSuite to help you stay organised and informed.

  • You don’t need special skills or ability — just a servant-hearted attitude and a willingness to be part of something sacred. This quiet act of service carries real spiritual significance and is a beautiful way to bless the wider church.

  • Two team members prepare the Communion elements in the kitchen before the service begins.

Then, during the service, the rest of the team will be invited forward by one of the pastors to serve the bread and cup to the congregation, row by row.

Afterwards, you’ll help with the clear-up if possible — washing the cups and returning everything to its place.
